I’ll admit, when I first launched the game, I had mixed feelings. I openly expected a C-grade movie storyline - something like "Zombies Beavers 2." I decided to give the game a chance, and I don't regret it. The plot and music completely won me over, and I’m really looking forward to the continuation. A good production deserves support, so I’ll probably decide to patronize it soon.
Noel is my favorite character. I didn’t expect that an entity born of darkness and living for thousands of years (or even longer) could be so attached to a human and feel such deep emotions. I’m really curious how her relationship with the MC will develop. She is my TOP1 girl.
I’m also rooting for Rule B – I believe his story deserves a continuation. Especially because his relationship with Nael is much more mature. Who knows? Perhaps the younger siblings will come to their aid at some point.
Arsa is really well designed. Her temperament, combined with her capriciousness and humor, gives the whole story a pleasant lightness. The humor is at a good level.
Amy is sweet, and like Noel, she is a great support for the MC. I’m curious how the situation with her... belly will unfold. :)
I have mixed feelings about Clara. She's a nice girl, and at the beginning, I was sure that it was with her that the MC would build a lasting relationship. However, somewhere along the story, she got left behind. As a result, her feelings for the MC have to give way to other relationships, as we simply don’t spend any time with her. Poor girl but that's how sometimes life work.

I love cod very, very much, and would like it to be enjoyed by more people. Unfortunately the game doesn't support Chinese, for that reason I'm working on a voluntary Chinese translation of the game. So far I've completed a fine translation of chapter1. I'd like to ask you how you feel about this, for or against.
If you are against it I will stop immediately and stop working on it, and delete the results I have so far. If support ...... you don't know how happy I am!
P.S. In my area, sponsorship from overseas authors is very difficult due to policy issues, and I don't have a steady source of income at the moment. I'll fill in once I find a solution.

I'd like to know what the Legion's purpose is. To kill as many dark ones as possible to gain power equal to God's? Everything is clear with the other two alliances. But Legionnaires are a bit strange guys. Especially what makes mere mortals who are not companions help them.
As everyone else said... 10/10, worth every second, minute, and hour.
The adult scenes keep getting better as you progress through the chapters, as does everything else from fight scenes to... hell, it becomes top-notch later on so don't get discouraged early on, though I doubt anyone would...

If I had to summarize this game in one word, it would be: masterpiece :v. After playing the first two chapters, I thought: the storyline of this game really has potential and opens up so many directions. This game would definitely be on my tier list... And after playing up to chapters 6-7-8. Damn, now I can say this game is at the top 1 of my tier list. There's nothing more to say about the story, it’s simply perfect: the way the characters are built, the way their inner struggles are expressed, their changes and development... truly beyond imagination. And the music, the animation, it really, really gave me goosebumps. I actually replayed some parts right after finishing chapter 9 (currently updated). Right now, I don’t have the financial means to support the devs or to enjoy the upcoming chapters sooner =((( , I really regret and apologize for that. But overall, this is truly a game worth experiencing, and I hope the dev will continue to update this masterpiece.
P/s: Gab and Nael are such a great match; I just hope nothing bad happens to them, but if the dev have plans for them... well, I won’t comment any further...

Great game! I'm completely immersed in this story. Any game that develops a sense of history/lore automatically has my interest, and this VN takes that and runs with it pretty well!
The only issue I'm currently having with it (and I'm only on Chapter 2, so maybe this won't be a thing for long) is there's a considerable change in the writing from Ch1 to Ch2. Chapter 1 was mostly written well but Chapter 2 could use some serious TLC from a proofreader. I don't want to judge too harshly, not knowing if the writer is a native speaker... but so many run-on sentences, missing or incorrect punctuation, subject-verb agreement, so much seems to be all over the place and at times it's jarring to read and distracting from the actual storytelling, which itself is interesting, engaging, and has me invested.
[EDIT/UPDATE]: Can confirm, this didn't stay an issue for long. There are still things here and there, but I'm down to the last chapter and can say it hasn't been a bothersome distraction ever since. Seems to be much less of an issue in later chapters.
But so far that's my only negative critique, and while it's been distracting many times I've still been able to grasp the story, so in the end it hasn't ruined anything for me and ultimately amounts to a nit-pick. I keep wanting to know more, and there are things happening that I didn't expect which is great!
I'm happy to hear you like it! I didn’t have a proofreader for Chapters 1, 2, 3, and 4. Now, But some people, set up a Discord group dedicated to fixing the spelling issues in my game. The downside is that I have very little time to implement all the improvements, but I’ll do it slowly over time. (My day job and work on the avn steals all of it.) But i managed add the implementations of Chapter 1 so far. Which is probably why you noticed such a big drop in quality afterward.

Just started, but odd occurrence: had gallery scene 1 in autosave, but it is gone once I moved to main game. That is easy enough to fix, but wondering why?
I mean I unlocked the first gallery scene, but did make an actual save of my own until a few hours later. I think maybe the autosaves had cycled by then, but not sure. At any rate, the first gallery scene now shows as locked, even though I already saw it. Not a big deal; I will try and remember to save after each new scene.

Maybe a small oversight but why does B return your bag you leave in a rush at the beginning only to later act like he didn't know when he obviously did. he returned your bag.. then later acts to Nael like he has no idea whom Noel is with. How did he know?
Also when Noel has her fight when she is feral was it intentional to have her look like Noel at that point?
So how did he know at that moment it was the MCs bag? When you awaken later on both Rule B and Nael know where you are that's what they've been wating for. They then show up and B acts like he doesn't know who just got his ass put into the wall until he reaches down and touches him. So the entire time B knew.. Sorry i think to much.

I finished the game from Chapter 1 upto 9 it was good, i can't wait the chapter 10 or maybe i'll wait again until the game is further or until the game is finish and what's going to happen to that guy called "Two" and the woman with him in the plane 🤔, also the MC is getting stronger when Noel said "How much stronger have you become since our separation?" But it didn't mention what rank he is right now because during Az arc the MC's rank is low S-Rank. I just hope you add it in the script in the future updates what rank he is right now (is the MC still on lower S-Rank,or middle S-Rank or High S-Rank or maybe he's already the lower of SS-rank?)
(WARNING: SLIGHT SPOILERS) I’ll try not to do spoilers, but just in case, a small heads up. (IF YOU HAVEN’T PLAYED THE GAME YET, WHY ARE YOU READING THIS? GO PLAY THE GAME!)
Objectively speaking, this is not the single best AVN (It's quite close), but it is definitely my number one personal favourite. I do not think I have ever gotten this emotionally and intellectually attached to the world of an AVN before. Sure I do have some small complaints of smaller pieces of the story, but the general story and the execution of the premise is probably one of the strongest in any AVN game. The world built within the game is probably the SINGLE most thoroughly thought out and carefully crafted worlds. The tension, action, and conflict in this AVN is also very strong. However I do have two complaints, first, the beginning feels quite slow, and even if a lot of it is necessary to build context and foundational emotional connections with the characters, I feel there are much more concise and effective ways to do this. Also, near the end of ACT 1, the story kind of "ran out of gas" in the way that, immediately after the Congress, the action felt slightly unsatisfying and non-continuous (In my head, the actions of the characters in that situation were slightly nonsensical, but I guess the justification makes sense). In addition, the Deus Ex Machina resolution of the first act could be criticised but here, instead of it being a cop-out resolution, it feels earned and correct. It feels emotionally justified and creates a sense of catharsis successfully when, in most cases, Deus Ex Machina resolutions tend to feel empty and random, which is not at all the case here. In fact, when the “Deus” from the “Machina” showed up, I was silently cheering in my head.
Another thing this game does quite well is the emotional aspect, by the beginning of Act 2 I was already completely emotionally engrossed in the game, and the idea of not having Noel around viscerally hurt me. I really empathically related to the story in Act 2. Which I feel really solidified my fondness for this game. The action was gripping, the pacing was perfect, and Act 2, although not finished, has probably the single strongest story of any part of an AVN. The interaction of the main plot and the subplots are cohesive and flowing. Even though the action jumps from place to place, it never feels like the action breaks, the scenes just fit together perfectly. I have high hopes for the ending of Act 2, and the ending could really solidify this game as one of the greatest AVNs. The choices of which information to provide to the player is also done perfectly, we always know just enough to create an idea of what is happening, but never enough to completely predict the future, and when a new piece of information is given to the player, there is an “Aha!” moment that is just so rare in AVN games (Most of them when you get information, it causes you to be more confused than anything).
I also like how the game touches on deeper social-philosophical ideas, especially of power, or more specifically, vertical structures of power. Power and abuse of power may be quite an overused thematic idea in fiction, but I think this game pulls it off quite well. Especially with Samuel (Wisdom lies not in utilising power, but knowing not to) and the parallelism of the actions of the leaders of the High Order (This can also be related to historical events in the real world). This central idea permeates every aspect of the story and is central to the conflicts, not just present as just some superficial idea that is there only to make the creator feel smarter than they actually are.
There is something very human about this AVN. It feels that it has genuine care and thought put into it, and everything is done with intention. That is what I like about an AVN that I feel is lacking in most other AVNs, sure they have passion, but also they try too hard, making it difficult to emotionally connect with the story. Which is what makes Companion of Darkness so special.
Going to need to wait until it's finished i think before i pick this back up, really not a fan of the Amy stuff, too many mental scar's from when i found Korean pornwha. That being said i enjoyed it enough to play through all 9 chapters, will be following the progress until i can download the complete thing!

(WARNING: SLIGHT SPOILERS) I’ll try not to do spoilers, but just in case, a small heads up. (IF YOU HAVEN’T PLAYED THE GAME YET, WHY ARE YOU READING THIS? GO PLAY THE GAME!)
Objectively speaking, this is not the single best AVN (It's quite close), but it is definitely my number one personal favourite. I do not think I have ever gotten this emotionally and intellectually attached to the world of an AVN before. Sure I do have some small complaints of smaller pieces of the story, but the general story and the execution of the premise is probably one of the strongest in any AVN game. The world built within the game is probably the SINGLE most thoroughly thought out and carefully crafted worlds. The tension, action, and conflict in this AVN is also very strong. However I do have two complaints, first, the beginning feels quite slow, and even if a lot of it is necessary to build context and foundational emotional connections with the characters, I feel there are much more concise and effective ways to do this. Also, near the end of ACT 1, the story kind of "ran out of gas" in the way that, immediately after the Congress, the action felt slightly unsatisfying and non-continuous (In my head, the actions of the characters in that situation were slightly nonsensical, but I guess the justification makes sense). In addition, the Deus Ex Machina resolution of the first act could be criticised but here, instead of it being a cop-out resolution, it feels earned and correct. It feels emotionally justified and creates a sense of catharsis successfully when, in most cases, Deus Ex Machina resolutions tend to feel empty and random, which is not at all the case here. In fact, when the “Deus” from the “Machina” showed up, I was silently cheering in my head.
Another thing this game does quite well is the emotional aspect, by the beginning of Act 2 I was already completely emotionally engrossed in the game, and the idea of not having Noel around viscerally hurt me. I really empathically related to the story in Act 2. Which I feel really solidified my fondness for this game. The action was gripping, the pacing was perfect, and Act 2, although not finished, has probably the single strongest story of any part of an AVN. The interaction of the main plot and the subplots are cohesive and flowing. Even though the action jumps from place to place, it never feels like the action breaks, the scenes just fit together perfectly. I have high hopes for the ending of Act 2, and the ending could really solidify this game as one of the greatest AVNs. The choices of which information to provide to the player is also done perfectly, we always know just enough to create an idea of what is happening, but never enough to completely predict the future, and when a new piece of information is given to the player, there is an “Aha!” moment that is just so rare in AVN games (Most of them when you get information, it causes you to be more confused than anything).
I also like how the game touches on deeper social-philosophical ideas, especially of power, or more specifically, vertical structures of power. Power and abuse of power may be quite an overused thematic idea in fiction, but I think this game pulls it off quite well. Especially with Samuel (Wisdom lies not in utilising power, but knowing not to) and the parallelism of the actions of the leaders of the High Order (This can also be related to historical events in the real world). This central idea permeates every aspect of the story and is central to the conflicts, not just present as just some superficial idea that is there only to make the creator feel smarter than they actually are.
There is something very human about this AVN. It feels that it has genuine care and thought put into it, and everything is done with intention. That is what I like about an AVN that I feel is lacking in most other AVNs, sure they have passion, but also they try too hard, making it difficult to emotionally connect with the story. Which is what makes Companion of Darkness so special.

That being said i enjoyed it enough to play through all 9 chapters, will be following the progress until i can download the complete thing!
