I don't usually write reviews, but this game is so amazing that I felt I had to. If you are thinking about playing, stop thinking and just play it. One of the best games I have ever played, including games that aren't even AVN's. The story had me interested and captivated the whole time, the characters are all very likeable, the power system is awesome (if you like Fate or Future Diary type series this is great for you). All around the game is amazing and I can't wait for future updates. I really hope that more people learn about this game, because I think it deserves much more recognition than it has. I am very thankful for the work the creator has put in.

Excellent game, truly wonderfully written. So much so in fact, the Amy story really affected me. I mean, it's just a game and whatnot, but it conveyed a lot of emotion. And simply for that, I am grateful. As I've seen people say, came for the NSFW, stayed for the story. no plans to sperate it, wont happen. otherwise all your decisions and settlings will be lost. if you have problems transfering yous savedata you can join the discord. me or my mods are happy to help you, to join click the discord icon on the page.
Just got into the game, it's a bit of a slow burn to start but it really hooked me around chapter 6/7 (don't want to spoil it for people so it's one the good at sensing girl came into the picture haha).
I'm just starting chapter 9 but I'm a bit confused on how to deal with chapter 10, since I'm a bit dumb with technology. As a PC player, should I download it, and extract it into the same exact folder as chapter 9, rewritting all the info or do I need to do a separate folder entirely?
Also highly recommend this to anyone on the fence about trying it out, and if it's a bit slow at first just stick with it! It definitely picks up later in pace, both plot wise but also romance wise. The biggest weakness compared to some other great AVNs on this site would be the models, but everything else is so good that it easily makes up for it in my opinion.

Just extract in any folder, it doesn't depend on season 1, as the season 1 savefiles are stored elsewhere. It doesn't matter where you extract the files. Hope this helps!

companion of darkness- n/c- 8.7/10 - so this took me a fuckin while to do, life has a way of not giving a flying fuck.
the story took a minute to hook me, but when it did it refused to let go. cute romances, surprisingly intense action, and animations that frankly shocked me with their quality near the (current) end (chapter 10).
with roughly 12 hours of reading, this has already shot up to one of the better AVNs ive played and has stoked the flame of me wanting to play more avns, which is an accomplishment in of itself.
Companion of Darkness is one of my favorite AVN's out there. To start, the characters are very well done, they have unique loveable personalities, especially Gabriel and Noel. The designs are pretty well done, I enjoy Ciarara, Noel, Zero, Metal, and Ren, I find those few to be my favorite, especially Ciarara. Onto the story now, this game has an incredible emotional story, it'll make you laugh, cry, smile, and piss you off, all in the best way possible, the concept for the story on its own is very interesting, and something I myself tend to prefer over a lot of AVN's. The game can be especially brutal and dark, which is again something I really enjoyed. I also really enjoy the romance of this game, it's not a sex simulator, and when it is, it fits the story and the lore. I tend to be adverse to AVN's that are effectively porn, which is something this game is not, and I appreciate that, you get to care about the cast, and learn about them before you start sticking your dick in them, which as I said, I appreciate. The humor of this game is also really good, especially character banter. Another thing I enjoy about this game are the combat scenes, while not always super smooth, I appreciate the effort, and I find it really enjoyable. Some of them are actually really well done as well. The NSFW scenes in this game originally started as well, not great. But as time goes on it slowly gets better, the most recent scene with Ciarara and Amy is actually one of the best animated scenes I've ever seen in an AVN, Berkili whoever did that scene, I would absolutely recommend seeing about trying to get them again, it was incredibly well done. There's only really two things that I have any real criticism with, other then the early NSFW scenes, the music is pretty hit or miss. And the visuals aren't *amazing*, but they work, and can be quite nice at times. Now with all of that said, this AVN is genuinely incredible, and I'd absolutely recommend it.
There is a lot to be impressed with here --- but the thing thats the absolute craziest IMO is that fucking animated sex scene with the tail involved
I have spent so much time just trying to get the tail's bone mod settup to get images for still frame shots... the idea that someone got a great looking animation working is just utter insanity.

You start at season1. Once you finish season 1, you don't deinstall it but instead just download season2. this way transferring saves should be rather easy.
